The pencil-tube microphone Ela M260 is without a doubt one of the finest microphones in the industry for acoustic and classical recording. The compact microphone has an exceptional detail, clarity and depth that captures every nuance in music and performance.

Developed in the late 1950s for the legendary Ela M251 / 250 series, the Ela M260 quickly became known as one of the absolute best microphones for classic recordings. The Ela M series was created in collaboration with AKG as a replacement in Telefunken's range for Neumann-produced models.
Ela M260 Cardioid comes complete with M960 power supply, M801 tube-microphone cable, shock mount and wooden storage box.
The Ela M260 is equipped with a NOS EF-732 / 5840W tube and a custom out-put transformer, which together with the rest of the design makes this microphone so good-sounding.
(Ela M260 Master Set comes with three capsules, TK60 - kidney, TK61 - ball and finally TK-62 super kidney which gives a fantastic flexibility during sessions.)
