Waldorf is a German synthesizer company with a tumultuous history. The company was founded in 1988 by Wolfgang Düren, and it soon became known for a number of special and especially cool synths that fit ideally with the music of the time. Waldorf Electronics went down in 2002, but on January 1, 2003, a new company, Waldorf Music, happily took over the remnants.
Therefore, today we can still enjoy new and innovative products that don't look like – or sound like – anyone else.
