Solid State Logic – SSL

SSL, or Solid State Logic as the company is rightly called, is one of the most well-known manufacturers of large recording consoles and equipment. For decades, the SSL 4000 series and 9000 series have been an integral part of major professional studios worldwide, and SSL epitomized professional equipment, legendary sound and function.
With SSL's start of production in China, the SSL brand can now be found on affordable products such as small sound cards and microphones, just as it is now possible to get both Bus Comp, EQ and Channel Dynamics for the 500 series.
Today, the SSL that was founded by Colin Sanders in 1969, and created the legendary 4000 desks, is far from the SSL that exists today.
